Pink Elements has successfully completed an independent security audit of its tokenised smart contracts

Germany, 16 May 2024 – Pink Elements AG, provider of a decentralised AI-powered database and web platform for the easy exchange of relevant environmental data such as drinking water or air quality, puts the security and trustworthiness of its Web3 platform and blockchain business model first. This is why the company recently subjected its token smart contracts to an independent audit by Halborn, a company specialising in the thorough analysis of smart contracts in a blockchain application. The result was pleasingly good, with only three potential security vulnerabilities of medium to low risk.

In early April 2024, Pink Elements commissioned Halborn to carry out a security audit of its backend applications on the systems provided to the Halborn team. Such audits enable design problems and errors in the code to be recognised and corrected in good time and security vulnerabilities to be identified and eliminated. The audit lasted one and a half weeks from 5 to 17 April. A security engineer from Halborn, an expert in penetration testing with extensive knowledge in the areas of web, recon, discovery & infrastructure penetration testing and blockchain protocols, checked the security of all Pink Elements applications. The pleasing result: only three potential security vulnerabilities were discovered, Halborn identified one medium, one low and one informational security issue.

The Pink Elements development team is already working to address all the security issues identified in the audit report in order to optimise the security of the application and its underlying infrastructure. The full audit report can be viewed at https://t.co/Q9i5nzfxQo .

“Pink Elements is proud to have prioritised security throughout the development process of its application,” explains Alexander Pulkert, CEO of Pink Elements AG. “As with the current review of smart contracts by Halborn, strict measures and criteria have always been applied in the past to protect user data and ensure the integrity of the platform.”

Pavlo Fomenko, CTO and responsible for the development and security of the Pink Elements app, adds: “To detect and fix security vulnerabilities early, we at Pink Elements have integrated state-of-the-art security practices, including comprehensive code reviews, static and dynamic vulnerability scans and penetration testing. This multi-layered approach allows us to detect potential vulnerabilities at an early stage of the development cycle and ensure a robust platform.”

Regular security audits and updates

Pink Elements’ commitment to security goes beyond actual development. Following regular security audits by independent third parties such as Halborn, Pink Elements promptly implements updates to address identified vulnerabilities or eliminate evolving security risks. This continuous assessment and improvement cycle ensures the ongoing security of the Pink Elements platform.

Transparency and close collaboration with the community

Pink Elements emphasises transparency and an open exchange on the topic of data security. The company actively solicits feedback from the security community and informs its users promptly about potential vulnerabilities and mitigation measures. This promotes trust and enables the community to contribute to a secure Pink Elements platform.

A secure future for water quality data:

By employing robust security practices and high standards for data privacy and user trust, Pink Elements ensures that its customers’ water quality data is tamper-proof at every stage of use. This allows customers to focus on making a positive impact on our environment.

Pink Elements

Pink Elements AG, based in Vaduz/Principality of Liechtenstein, was founded in 2021 to create an independent and global social platform for the simple exchange of relevant environmental data, such as drinking water or air quality, which will be accessible to everyone – a kind of Wikipedia of environmental data. The intuitive platform offers a protected space with reliable data that is transparent and secured by blockchain technology. The quality of the data is assessed by the community to make it easier to select trustworthy information. The aim is to make the Pink Elements app the most detailed water and environmental database available worldwide and thus provide people with the knowledge they need to advocate for better framework conditions on the basis of sound information.
